Mic Drop

Six week series running Mondays:
Jan. 13 to Feb.24

3:00 pm - 4:15 pm

Gain performance skills, have fun with wordsmith games, and learn sweet rap skills from special guests!

Mic Drop is hosted by the Comox Valley Lifelong Learning Centre alongside MC, Songwriter, and Producer Mo Moshiri.

*** No class on Family Day, Feb. 17

Homework Club

Every Wednesday:
Jan. 22 to Mar. 11

3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

A quiet and supportive drop-in workspace in the Library. Students can progress on projects and homework with support from community tutors.

Snacks are on hand and students can enter their name to win a great prize in our weekly draw!

A partnership with CV Lifelong Learning Centre.

Bake Like A Pro!

Four week series running Wednesdays:
Jan. 22 to Feb. 12

3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Learn a variety of baking techniques and take home tasty treats inspired by local ingredients and world flavours. In this 4 week course, each student will learn some of the fundamental baking methods and recipes, including breads and pastries!

Basketball Workshop

Thursday, Feb. 20
After School

3:15 pm - 4:45 pm

Join youth from the Wachiay 'Youth 20/20 Can Program' for a fun and interactive basketball workshop focusing on building individual skills and teamwork. Includes an hour of skill work and a half hour scrimmage.

Skills Covered: shooting, passing, ball handling, rebounding, and defense. All skill levels welcome.

Sign up sheets will be available in each classroom.

Fitness For Girls

Four week series running Tuesdays:
Apr. 14 to May. 5

3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Join instructor Donna Collins for a four-week introduction to fitness, health, and nutrition for girls. Each week offers a fun and motivating class taught by an instructor with a background in bodybuilding, weight training and personal training. Build physical strength and confidence in this supportive setting!

A small group of students will travel with Donna to a gym for an hour workout, and return to the school.
