After School Programs

Spring Programming Cancellations

Dear Community Members and friends of LTCES,

Under the direction of the Provincial Health Officer, the Minister of Education has suspended in-class instruction in all B.C. schools until further notice. Community School programs at Lake Trail Community Middle School are also on hold until further notice. This includes our after school and community offerings.

Those who have already registered and paid for programs will receive a refund by March 20th.

Lake Trail Community Education Society will be looking at ways in which we can continue to support our community during this unprecedented time.

We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers, facilitators, and community partners, and to the students and community members who access our programs.

We are thinking of you all and hope to welcome you back to Lake Trail soon!

— LTCES Board and Staff.

From the Minister of Education, Rob Fleming:

“This is a very challenging time in B.C. and around the world. Please take necessary preventative measures to keep you and your families healthy. If you think you have symptoms the Ministry of Health has developed an online self-assessment tool at covid19.thrive.health. If you do have symptoms you can call 8-1-1 to pre-arrange health testing. While symptomatic, self-isolate.

The province has a launched a new non-medical information line for British Columbians who have questions about COVID-19: 1-888-COVID19. Phone lines are open 7 days a week from 7:30 AM to 8 PM, and information is available in more than 110 languages.

These measures are temporary. But we must act together and act now to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.”
